Is this the case when buying ammo with your FFL03 + COE?
Since the ammo is sent directly to your home, how does the DOJ know what and how much you are buying?....or do they.
    Thanks
I asked both reeds and targetsportsusa about this previously in emails. Both said no they dont report anything. Targetsports does keep your COE on file until it expires but then they purge it. Reeds does not keep your COE on file and you have to provide a copy every time you purchase.

If I am in CA and I want to buy a C&R rifle I have to go through an FFL anyway? So the other benefits are ammo and the 30 day limit. I will look at prices and see if it is worth it for me. I probably shoot a few thousand rounds a year, and I am not planning to buy a lot of guns, so I might not be worth it.

Only if it's being shipped from out of state or a handgun if I remember right.

I've never actually bough a c&r. They are not high on my list of firearm wants other than a P08.

Also, depends on the calibers your shoot
