    Separating pistols in range bag

Hey guys, I usually bring a few pistols with me to the range. Problem is, with a pistol case a lot of room is taken up and just isn't ideal for my bag. My range bag has a removable 'basket' I keep the pistols in however it has no divider.

Do you guys just run the cheap 'sleeves' to keep them from bouncing off one another, just toss them in, or is there another solution?

    Thanks

Although i do have a dedicated pelican case for pistols which holds 5. I typically only use the pistol case for indoor ranges only.
When im going to the desert ive been throwing pistols into thick beanies and nestling them in the rifle length pelican cases next to the long guns.

Ive done this as well... you can catch some great deals on HF. dont forget to spray down the 'pick n pull' with plasti-dip after youre done.

Get bore-stores or similar pistol sleeves. They are thicker than gun socks and provide cushioning for multiple handguns.

i use a Seahorse 4 pistol hard case and backpack for ammo, targets and other stuff. Run one lock and good for transport laws.

I use soft zippered gun bags.

Cheap sleeves work just fine, and they're...cheap.

I have one of these for my 92FS and it really doesn't take up much space at all and it's really thin width-wise, but it's a bit more expensive than the cheap sleeves.

Bore stores or cut Pelican case.

I started by doing this and after I got a size that worked well, I bought a partial sheet of 3/8th thick neoprene and cut them from that.

I save the bubble wrap from packages leftover from mail order, and wrap the pistol in bubble wrap, takes up less space and protects the finish.

you could also just use an old towel as the divider in zig zag fashion with each pistol protected by the towel over lapping

Mix between gun rugs, socks with holes in them, and Crown Royal bags. Mainly to protect from scratchy each other especially if some have aggressive checkering (Springfield TRP).
