    Getting “Extra” Ready

I’m observing a lot of panic happening... my local Costco is jam-packed - can’t even find parking, local grocery store is busy at 6:00 AM, there’s a line at CVS before it even opens, there is a LOOOONG line outside of gun stores in my area, etc, etc.

I avoid those lines myself and I hate panic-buying but it got me moving today... to get “extra” ready in case bad guys come crashing my place for toilet paper and water, lol...

Got some additional stuff ready - extra SD ammo retrieved from storage, extra mags loaded, weapon lights and sling checked, extra holsters and mag pouches filled, gear placed in new places, etc. Geez, this was honestly way worse than preparing for a range trip - now I remember why I haven’t been to a range lately!

Hope my brethren is ready - I mean, I know you folks always are, I guess... Did you have to do anything “extra” to prep?

I got tamales and pupusas from ladies in the church parking lot - oh, and no lines at the store. But all you city folk need to bunker down where you are, don’t come up here and ruin my food hookups!

      Also gonna binge some Westworld.

You're seeing the initial panic but already tonight in my town the stores were no longer crazy.

People stocked up and will soon see the stores normalize as my town already did tonight.

The hard part will be working from home with the spouse and kids studying all under the same roof.

          I like going to work!

Yeah my wife and I work at Costco. It has been hell the last 2 weeks but wednesday on it just got worse and worse. Everywhere is wiped out now. Luckily I had a vacation week planned to remodel the master bath this coming week. Now that the kids are stuck at home with me we will see how productive that really is.

In February, I made sure that I stocked up on a few months supply of prescription meds.
Worth it, even paying out of pocket.

                  GoodRx (app) is a godsend.

I went with my wife to Costco on Friday. I didn't know how crazy it had gotten. I've been laughing at people, but after seeing the hoarding, general lack of pleasantries, and every man for themselves at costco; im concerned. Scared people make me nervous.

We have on hand about 45 - 60 days food. There is plenty water, enough firewood, warm clothes, and we have fashioned spears for protection.

You have done well. I too like spears. We have several mounted on the dining room wall, above the various world maps that are often a point of discussion during meals.

At home because of America's shutdown over the Covid-19 crisis? Now's the perfect time to clean and lube your guns...the ones at the very back of the safe that I never seem to get around to.
