I went to my FFL today to transfer a firearm. I was the buyer. The state fee went up on 1/1/2020 to $35.00 from $25.00. Plus the ten dollars the shop gets. When all was done it was $47.00 and change.

I felt like calling the PoPo to report an attempted rape. Gotta postpone the case of Hennessey I was going to buy for my well stocked grotto in my lair.

The State of Komifornia is an extortionist. I just had to renew my FSC for an additional $25 tax so I can be ready to pay for the right to buy the limited amount of guns on the roster. Taxes on top of fees and unreasonable regs. Sucks.

Like i said before we are rapidly approaching that magic hundred dollar mark in taxes and fees to purchase a new gun or you can bribe your way around the 1 in 30 day limit by paying more money and getting different license that relies on information and live scan you already have on file but you get to do it all over. But you will still keep paying that $47.00. And the new budget year is approaching so expect more fees, licenses and taxes. Isn't california a grand place to live. Have we stopped one death with these laws? No we haven't and the media plays it up like it is getting worse.

Technically it is $37.10 but it is what comes out of your pocket on the bottom line that gets on people's last nerve. We thought they had a surplus but obviously they have been using the money in other areas and now claim they need more money. And as long as they can shift funding and money no program is ever going to have a surplus in a politician eyes. That is not how empires are built and dictatorships funded.

The fee increase was justified by the DOJ under emergency due to the predicted short fall of future DROS revenue to be collected which would result in an inability to meet pension obligations.
