The license number in question is issued to a legit gun shop, Triple J Guns, Inc., in Smithville, MO. I'm fully convinced this wasn't a scam after all.

Except for a couple of little details:

• The gun store was opened in 2015 by Joseph R. Messina of Kansas City, MO, as helpfully documented by Missouri Secretary of State.
• As far as I can tell, Joseph Messina goes by Joe, not Gary. See, e.g., the Smithville Chamber of Commerce November 2015 newsletter at https://www.smithvillechamber.org/fi...46032916PM.pdf (page 3).
• Joe and Triple J Guns also consistently use the email address triplejguns@aol.com on their site, their Facebook page, and many other places.
• And the license is actually -8K-, not -1K-, as can be easily verified by downloading the Missouri licensee list through the ATF website.

I can assure that Gary is a scam. He has tried the same scam in the past, but at the time (last week) claimed to be from Kentucky. He had a a fake fll at the time, and has since learned.
He will ask thar you pay him via cashapp, and will provide a Sacramento phome number. All total bs.

Gary Hosmer?

Anyone know a Gary Hosmer?

I’ve been advertising that I want to buy a 629 Deluxe 3”.
I received a PM saying I should contact Gary South in Missouri. Contacted him He sends me photos of a gun saying it’s new, decent price. 20 bucks shipping. Couple things I don’t like about.

A week later I receive a pm from someone else saying I should contact Gary Hosmer in Kentucky. He sends me pics of exactly the gun I’m looking for. Same price. Shipping included.

Pm worded exactly the same. Same first name. different email, different state.
Feels fishy. Am I being paranoid? Anyway to safely conduct a transaction?

Beware scammed

I didn't read the warning posts on here until after, I was scammed by someone on here claiming someone was selling a g2c.

I honestly never heard of paypal friends and family until this seller told me to send using it, but you live and you learn. Crazy people in the world. I'm not trippin I got money and it's just money after all. Working as a nurse and seeing people lose much more especially life this is nothing, but it's a crazy world we still have these type of people out there.
