I keep my XD9SC and spare mag in their respective places when pants are down. Get a better belt that will hold them upright, set the belt against your calves and do your business. At least that is what works for me when wearing jeans.

No forgetting my gun, no accidentally dropping it on the bathroom floor, its in an easily accessible position if I need to use it as well.

I've carried both a Glock as well as a 1911 in a Davis leather 455C IWB holster for over 20 years. They are very comfortable holsters, and due to internal steel strengthening will not collapse when you draw, so your pistol can be re-holstered with one hand. This is a very important consideration because you may need to quickly be able to re-holster if a deadly threat no longer exists, and the need to use both hands for defense occurs.

I carried the same guns in the same holsters until several years ago. Then I discovered, in a very uncomfortable way, that the trigger guard of my 1911 had worn a hole on the inside of the holster, all the way through. I was running some drills at the range, and could not get the gun out of the holster, no matter how hard I pulled. The flap of leather that the trigger guard had cut, had been pressed into the trigger guard, and I had to remove the holster from the carry position and pull that flap of leather out of the trigger guard, to get the gun out of it.

My bad, for not checking/maintaining my gear. VERY glad that it happened at the range.

Kydex has its own issues, but this isn't one of them. I have a IWB holster from JM Custom Kydex that allows me to carry a G19 with a WML, one that has the 123 batteries sitting alongside one another, a pretty bulky load.

Leather IWB holsters are much more comfortable than kydex.

As the saying goes, "carrying a gun should be 'comforting,' not 'comfortable.' " lol. The only time that a holster was so comfortable I've forgotten that I was carrying, was with a Renegade (all surgical elastic and sheepskin) ankle holster. The gun was a SS Charter Arms Bulldog, in .44 Spcl, a fairly large, heavy gun, for a 2". I don't recommend ankle carry except for a B/U gun or UC assignments.

And like others have said. Just remove the pistol from the holster when going #2.

I carry a Shield or a 4" 2.0 in JM 2.5's with loops.

Loops aren't quite as convenient as clips for on and intentional off but they sure don't come off unintentionally and are quite stable on draw. A holster that provides proper draw is far more important than one that provides the easiest off for the toilet IMO. I guess holsters are liked the rest of life, pick your compromise.

I carry my G29 in a White Hat Holsters Max Tuck. I've driven from Murrieta to Vegas and back with this set up and never had discomfort.

Gun slides in and out easy and the double clip system keeps the cant the same every time. I use a medium deep ride (it's adjustable)

Body type: I'm 5'10" and a lean 200. I can hide the big Glock easy at 3:30/ 4:00 position under a t shirt and the seatbelt doesn't impede the draw from the driver's seat.
