    IWB holster

I’ve got this combination leather and kydex IWB holster I really like except for one aspect, I have to undo my belt and open up my pants to put it on, and take it off. It really gets on there. This is really ****ty when I take a chit in the field.

What is your take on this? Are those full Kydex IWBs comfortable for long? Is this putting on and off hassle a deal killer? Or par for the course? I see videos o Alien and Vedder holsters getting put on and taken on in 2 seconds. I like.

I’m small in stature and can’t carry a compact appendix style without having it dig into my belly. I have a 380 for that. For my G19, anyone have a recommendation for easy on and off with no comfort issues?

I have a few more holsters that are full Kydex with the large curved frames, I don't like those. What I have right now, leather is against the body with a kydex.

I've got IWB holsters from Insane Kydex Creations for each of my CCW guns. They are very comfortable all day long and hold the gun very securely. Super easy to put on/off; I can do it with one hand.

I get the fold over clip which positions the clip offset from the gun so it lays flatter for better concealment - nothing to stick out and catch a chair arm, etc.

It takes several weeks to get one but worth the wait. If you're not in a big hurry sign up for their email and then wait for them to have a sale - usually about once a month and I have got up to 25% off.

        This. Holster stays on pants.

I'm a fan of JM Custom Kydex.

Take the gun our of the holster. That's why the top of the toilet paper dispenser and/or the top of the toilet tanks are flat - to hold your gun and mags.

You do carry an extra mag right?

I keep the holster on the gun so the trigger remains covered. JM Custom Kydex, along with most holsters, come off easily.

As mentioned above JM Custom holsters are top notch. But so are the ones from Off The Grid Concepts and they are local and smaller than JM, if that makes a difference to you.

Personally, for a G19 or larger, the Blackpoint Mini-Wing is the best, most comfortable holster I've carried with.

I use a single-clip OTGC for my P365, anything larger gets a Mini-Wing, the difference between mounting the 2-clip holster is an extra five seconds or so.

Good stuff. I appreciate the recommendations and will be making a choice.

I roll with an OWB holster. Makes things easier....all I do is adjust how I dress a bit.

I've carried both a Glock as well as a 1911 in a Davis leather 455C IWB holster for over 20 years. They are very comfortable holsters, and due to internal steel strengthening will not collapse when you draw, so your pistol can be re-holstered with one hand. This is a very important consideration because you may need to quickly be able to re-holster if a deadly threat no longer exists, and the need to use both hands for defense occurs.

Leather IWB holsters are much more comfortable than kydex.

Is it possible to just change your clips to pull-the-dot loops? Makes taking the holster on and off easy.
