Seems there are stories of requesting and gotten shipping labels back to the stable from many boards out there. Waiting might be wise to get all the bugs out.

If you are referring to my post, i'm sure you read CF. Other boards also have similar posts. I read. Its a new gun, will have quality issues. I will buy mine once the hype/over msrp dies down and looking for different variants.

I believe he was referring to the gun shop spreading fud that Colt won't be having the Python added to the CA roster.

It doesn't make financial sense to release a blued version yet. Let the sales of this new release die down then they might boost sales again with a blued Python. I expect that about 2-3 years from now.
You might even see some 2" stainless models released as well between now and then. That new Python is the smartest thing Colt could do. It's the biggest news in the firearm industry right now.

my FFL was told that Colt has the Python submitted to the roster and is awaiting approval.
He estimated March-ish, but knowing CA gov, it will be longer.

Couple of CA FFL in my area are accepting pre-orders priced at MSRP so either they will do SAE or once approved on roster and its just does not make financial sense to have Cobra & King Cobra on roster but not Python.

A Royal Blue Python of yesteryear is very unlikely. Just too much time involved in producing that finish.
