    Still in Sonoma County?
Maybe one of the locals can chime in with their FFL.

    Good luck.

2A Zone will probably do it as well. Just be sure your FFL is willing to DROS it as SAE when it shows up.

And I can’t imagine Colt not putting this on the roster, I have a hard time making any sense of that.

The newer production Cobra and King Cobra were put on the roster, so I would say there's an extremely high chance the new Python will be on the roster, but this is just a theory.

There must have been some kind of miscommunication between your FFL and whoever he spoke to at Colt. Colt has commented on their social media more than once that they WILL be submitting the Python to the roster. It’s only a matter of time.

Remember, the King Cobra Target was announced in August of 2019, but didn’t officially make it onto the CA roster until December. So it may take some time but the Python will be available in California.

Gunsdirect in Burbank posted on Instagram that they got one in for a client.

Colt has said on their instagram page that the Python will be available in California. The actual answer they gave when asked was "working on it"

So its just a matter of time

Have they said anything about blued models coming?

I think Colt right now is just trying to get these out. Launching these was a BIG deal. You have to remember, Colt filed for Chapter 11 four years ago. This launch will help them financially and if it goes over big enough I'm sure they will look at options for releasing blued models in a year or two. One step at a time.

Should probably wait for the reviews before jumping the gun on a revamped Colt Corp. product.

Colt has definitely indicated that they are working on getting the new Python on roster; additionally, they've been subtly suggesting there may be a blued model in the future.
