That's only when you have a gun shipped in from another FFL (eg from out of state). That means the FFL is charging $50 for receiving the gun, and the rest for normal DROS.

$50 isn't the lowest I've seen, but it's not the highest either. I heard some places in the Bay Area charge close to $100.

gotta love Commifornia, tax you til the bitter end.
I used to love paying one $25 transfer fee in Florida and picking up as many guns as I wanted.

Its actually pretty surprising to me they only raised it a little.

Several years ago I was looking for a CZ 75b single action only. A couple of buddies had bought guns at a newer local gun store. I thought I'd give them a chance and told them what I was looking for. Checked in with them a couple of times and they hadn't found one. I don't know how hard they were looking but I had given then the chance. Later I found one in stock at CGW. I went back to the store and asked about them doing the transfer and he said it would be $100 + the rest of the fees. I found the gun after giving them the chance , a month or two , to find one and sell it to me and he wanted to charge $100 extra. Got it done elsewhere.

this will make me buy more guns in one dros.

at least until july 2021, which there is a 1 in 30 day limit for all new firearm purchases .

so no more multiple lowers. can only buy 1 new firearm per month.

which means only 12 new firearms total a year.

cause they don't care if the FFL's make money.

the CA government would love it if all CA gun stores go out of business and close. then they can claim they have "won against the NRA" and no more guns are being sold in CA.

then they will continue to ignore all the illegal guns still in CA, and blame it on NV and AZ for their "loose gun laws/sales" and try to fight for federal legislation that is as strict as CA.

gun-grabbers don't care to stop illegal use of guns, they only want to stop the legal and general public from owning guns so any civil war/revolution can't occur since i doubt the Crips or Bloods or MS13 would care about any kind of revolution for a better government if it came down to it.

Is the additional fee even legal?

Calif is raising prices to help discourage people from buying. It will continue to go up. It is their way to reduce and get rid of gun ownership here. Just like the cost to get guns on the roster list.
