You can't make the assumption that since they wave you through (with CA plates) that it's the same with out of state plates. They definitely stop out of state cars more often.

sure, but the CA law in regards to ammo only applies to CA residents.

so a nevada resident can have all the ammo in public view and no CA cop can do anything about it since the law specifically says "CA Resident" not a general "persons"
