Midway USA Video Library AR-15 Assembly

Nothing beats having the 'proper' tools; but, you don't have to have everything either company 'recommends.' (Remember, they are in business to sell parts/tools.) However, make sure you have someone competent physically check your work.

Ok, so i didn't end up getting a spikes lower like i planned on but instead went with Aero Precision, hopefully this won't be something iregret later on. Anyways, I'm looking for a parts kit and found this
Explore Black Rifle Depot's AR-15 Lower Build Kits, offering a variety of options for easy assembly, reliability, and performance, perfect for any experience level.

Looks like a good deal to me but could be missing something. What does everyone think

The lower itself, as long as it is not polymer, are all petty much the same as long as it is mil-spec. The Aero is fine (I have one) and will serve you well. I have built seven ARs and have bought all my lower build kits from Palmetto State Armory and they are all good fit and finish.

If you want something better than mil-spec spend more money on the barrel, the trigger (fire control package) and the bolt/carrier, in that order.
The American Republic will endure until the day Congress discovers that it can bribe the public with the public's money.

Just popping in real quick to make sure you know about the serialization requirement in CA. Would hate to see you blind-sided by a law you didn't know existed

Check out primaryarms...they have quality milspec LPKs at a decent price.

I just bought a strike industries enhanced LPK from them for 35 minus the trigger/fire control group.

Aero, PSA, cmc, even anderson are decent. Stay away from radical, expo arms, bear creek or any other bottom tier brand they offer

Welcome. Don't let the bullies on here get you down. It comes with the territory here. The mods keep an eye on posts and will ban for arguing and name calling or putting members private info on here. No second amendment rights here, but we are used to it. Some very bright and knowledgeable people on here just hard to sort out from nummies. Some lawyers on here (AC'S) FFL'S , long time shooters and hunters and fisher people. I would have said fisherman but I am told that is sexist.

My advice, don’t build a maglocked AR unless you already have a bunch of standard/featureless ARs. Malfunctions are no fun with a maglocked AR and you may end up hating the platform if you don’t ever experience the way an AR is meant to be run.

                        Welcome to Calguns.
