Failure to submit "Itrader" feedback? Right or Wrong?

Well I suppose I am a vendor of sorts http://www.gunsr4.us/ and I never really paid any attention to the Itrader stuff. Early on, a couple years ago I received Itrader notification and tried to follow it around but it didn't seem to make any sense or a difference. I subsequently didn't see it or respond to it as it was immaterial to the way I operate.
I get an order and I'd send it out right away, many times before the funds were transferred or received.
Not until recently with this thread and I think one other someone being disturbed by the lack of Itrader response's did I give it a thought. Never realized the importance of it to many buyers or its role in commerce.
I have of late been educating myself on the 'howto's' of Itrader's notification system and am making an effort to leave feedback. I also had the problem of no thread to leave in the URL box as most purchases are made through the website (I just learned how to imbed the URL in a blue word). What I did was use the website URL instead of a thread and it was accepted.
I think it was over a year before I had an Avatar. And I still have to research how to post a pic.
Most of my time on the computer is spent reading. Just text, few movies or Tube stuff, just reading as its a fascinating thing to me to have all that info at my fingertips and i'm trying to read it all. More data.
I'll get better.
If I have neglected to leave an Itrader for you let me know and I will rectify the situation. I can say that all who have purchased from me have not stiffed me. So if you see someone wearing a Calguns shirt, hat or sticker they are good to go and solid buyers.
Yeah I'm an old guy, I grew up with having a handcrank on the phone and the tractor.

I have been a part-time eBay seller since September of 1998. My feedback score is over 1100. But I have probably sold over 2000 items.Originally posted by robert91316Why do some Calgunners fail to submit "Itrader" feedback ?
If two people are or are not absolutely satisfied with a business deal, why not leave feedback ?
I have never figured out why many people, happy with the transaction (per emails directly to me), never left feedback. I try not to think about it, but it is still irritating. So, for the last couple of years, if a buyer doesn't leave me feedback, I don't leave them feedback.
Regarding iTrader, I used it for the first time yesterday. Having to leave comments in two different sections is a bit confusing & unnecessary. One comment area should be sufficient.THIS SPACE FOR RENTComment

Hopefully some people will read this and decide to take time to leave feedback after transactions!!!!!

When I buy something, I leave feedback. When I sell stuff, I leave feedback after they leave feedback for me. I tell them thats the way i do it. I have done a lot of deals that never had any feedback and between calguns and the auctions I always have running at gunbroker, its hard to keep up.Comment

I think for the most part the feedback system is rather flawed.. I have seen a few times where if a problem arised between a buyer and seller the feedbacks were just taken off after a complaint to the mods.. SO it is kind of a false sence of security if everybody has good feedback.. It can work but they need to make it permanent.. And have the ability to respond to someones feedback(wich we have now).. In the end the feedback system would be much more accurate.. You would see patterns with people better.. Just a thought.. What we have now is better than nothing for sure
As far as I can remember I have left feedback ASAP.. I can see it being easy to forget though either way..Last edited by pat4wd; 05-04-2009, 9:26 AM.Try out a AppleSeed... http://www.appleseedinfo.org/

I drove nearly 50 miles out of my way to deliver a gun to "a calgunner's" gunstore of choice and when I returned home I promptly gave him positive feedback. The louse accepted my feedback(I know this because of the receipt function) and was to lazy/apathetic/selfish/arrogant/etc. to take 5 minutes and do the same for me!Comment

I have never sold anything and never bought something over $50 but I am still short like 5 or so ratings.Insert something clever here.Comment

In my humble opinion, seller should leave feedback for the buyer first, as in right after he has paid. Too many sellers on ebay and GB hold the buyers feedback hostage until they get a +. Makes the feedback system semi-meaningless. I have bought 5 items on GB the past year, and have gotten exactly ZERO feedbacks, even though my payment went out the next day in every instance. I had one seller actually e-mail me asking for feedback saying I will give you whatever you give me...I have been a part-time eBay seller since September of 1998. My feedback score is over 1100. The guys here are much better. The only time I did not get one was on a group buy.sigpicThe right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. The original common sense gun law...Comment

the ebay feedback system was screwed, Now much better IMO.. Nothing worse then seller holding you hostage for feedback.. All it is, is a ploy to get good feedback or else..
If you sell something and got paid.. Leave feedback.. simple.. your end of the deal is over as long as you sold what was advertised..Try out a AppleSeed... http://www.appleseedinfo.org/
