As a friendly dealer was assembling my first AR-15 lower yesterday, I started talking about building another one lol!

My first one is a carbine with carrying handle, but I want another with a flat rail top, quad rail handle, throw on my surefire or fenix, and drop a grand on an ACOG scope hehe.

    I need a 9mm first, I always borrow my dad's Beretta 92fs.

Guns are the cheapest part, remember...

Wait til' you start accumulating everything associated with firearms. Reloading components, drawers full of holsters, magazines, hoarding ammo, new optics costing more than the gun it sits on... etc... etc....

        THAT gets expensive.

It's all about self control. I bought my first handgun in April of 2007. Now I have 3 handguns, 3 shotguns, 6 rifles and 2 lowers. Oh and 10/22 that I pick up on Sat. Best part about it, my wife loves to shoot.

to the OP, I'm with you. I had my HK USP for like 3 years, then I started buying 1x/year. Then in late 06, I started on rifles. Now I have 4 pistols, 4 complete rifles, and 4 lowers. Starting tomorrow, I get 1 more complete rifle, 1 .22lr pistol and 1 shotgun/1 22LR rifle on sunday! And that's not including my backorders! LOL not much of a collection, but it's a start. and I already bought a safe 2x that I'd thought I'd need!

man, they're multiplying like rabbits I tell ya.

Once you get addicted to them it is possible to quit. About 12 years ago I felt things were getting out of control in my life so I decided to quit cold turkey. I swore off buying guns ,chasing skirt ,and all forms of alcohol.
That was the worst Wednesday night I ever spent.

things are bad when you don't have enough clothes to go a week without wearing the same thing twice and you still think optics for your new rifle is more important !

I am up four this year. Helps me deal with the stress. I had to give up dipping and sniffing glue to pay for this addiction. I am just waiting on the surgeon general to tell us that sniffing smoking gun powder is hazardous to our health.

at least my lady knows where the $$ goes and doesnt have to think i'm having some affair, spending thousands on some imaginary friend... although spending that much on a gun doesnt seem to bother her any less....
