    Front sight in Nevada

I was gifted a Diamond level membership recently and was wondering if anyone in the community is a member there? If so, how do you guys like it?

There is a multi page thread about Front Sight and hundreds of members. Most love it and some hate it. Most who hate it have never been there, but hate the founder who is a bit creepy. Good training for a very low price.

Good training, but lengthy sales pitch to upgrade your membership, And there's always an upgrade.

But the training is good, especially for first timers.

I use FrontSight when able, I've taken maybe 5 or 6 classes over the years and look forward to going again. You should be prepared for lots of phone calls and emails about upgrading your membership. Always seems to be a later and greater deal. You should read them for a while to get understanding but also know you can turn off calls and emails in preferences.

The wife and I went for a 4 Day Defensive Handgun class in 2014. It was AWESOME!!! We are finally planning another trip back hopefully next year sometime.

When you are on premises, they are focused on training. There is no hard-sell or time share type of sales happening. The only thing you get are phone calls or emails and you can opt out of both (like an adult).

It is solid training for you and your wife/gf etc. Heck, some people have their whole family/extended family show up. When we went, there was a dozen from one family! Cool!

Check out the Front Sight thread in the Training forum here. It will take several days to go thru it, so be prepared. It's a lot to digest.

There are several YT videos out there too. They have several Student of the Week videos etc. The Late Boyscout also has a series breaking down the 4 DDHG class. Pretty informative and takes some of the stigma out of it.

Years and years ago a group of us shot in a local NRA member council match.

Out of 30 or so, my buddie and I would finish in the middle. 12-15th

              Month after month.

One month he came in second... I asked what changed.... that bastard cheated and took classes.....

So I cheated and started taking classes.

I went to front sight a lot in the early days when the basic class incorporated a lot of the advance things too.

It’s great training to get you going for speed, accuracy, safety, holster, concealment.

Never buy a new membership- members here or your friend can sell you one for under $200

Check out Saddle West. They have smokin' deals on rooms for Front Sight attendees which include a full on buffet breakfast. Very important to load up on protein and carbs before a day training.

Just finished a 4day handgun last weekend. I go 4-5 times a year. Great place very professional and solid training. Well worth the time to go. It has really helped me improve.

                        GTFO with comments like that....

We all know that real men who receive an unsolicited, unwanted marketing email react by posting threads on every discussion forum known to man bashing the sending company, as well as creating hundreds of fake Yelp profiles to continue flaming and bad-mouthing the company to no end.

                          Front Sight!

Good to go, just got back from a two-day private class.

1st day was four hours of defensive handgun, shot 250 rounds before lunch.

In the afternoon we shot shotguns. Around 45 / 00 Buck, 10 / Slugs and 30 / Birdshot.

2nd day we shot AR-15s, practiced skills test. Shot 180 rounds,

working on accuracy from 100 yards to 7 yards.

Worked with another Great instructor, learned some new techniques.

If you haven't been there..... then you just don't know what you are missing!
