I haven't gone shooting at an indoor range in over 10 years for many reasons.
I pay $150 per year for a very nice outdoor range with all the sunrise to sunset shooting I can handle.

I just opened my property tax bill though and that was out fng rageous. All the bonds that circumvent prop 13 are 20% of it now.

I am guessing you never served and assume you think you know what military weapons/safety training is. (I could be wrong, but just my thought of your assessment)
In the military (when I served 20 years ago), everything was pretty much hands-on. Meaning the training and safety lessons were done on the range. You know that run down on range rules you get when you go to a range as first time? Yea pretty much that. I have yet to see soldier shooting wildly during field time, or range, or in combat during my service. And have yet to see a person aiming and shooting toward the ground or ceiling at a indoor range.

FT3 experience to one can vary as much as any other ranges. I have a good time there and never have I seen another shooter shoot wildly with their weapons. You might not have. OC indoor range as well, had good time there + they let you shoot shotguns with your own shells, but no rifles (unless the range isn't busy and you're a trusted patron by one of the managers or LE)

              25 bucks seems OUT-FRIGGIN-RAGEOUS.

What are you guys paying to shoot at an indoor range?
So you go to a shop/range for PPT.
Did you support the shop in anyway else ??
How much did the shop make for doing this PPT for you ??
How much do they pay for rent, FFL, Elec/water, insurance, lead abatement, and other fee's and taxes associated for having a gunshop/range in posh Laguna Niguel ??

In 20 years, there will be a handful of places left that will sell guns/ammo in California.
Who will be left here for the generations after you leave if you post crap like this that creates animosity towards a business that did you right when they did your PPT ??

Their location is far from the "posh" Laguna Niguel.

OC indoor range is a gunshop/range. They don't charge $25 for range time. Do you think they argue and want others to argue for them about what you are arguing about?

Agreed, but The Firing Line is $150 a year, On Target and Iron Sights are $300-$350 a year.

Do I look like friggin' Rockefeller to you guys?

Oh, and even though there was a lock in the case already, they made me buy THE EXACT SAME LOCK FROM THEM FOR ANOTHER $8 BUCKS.

                            My local indoor place is
                            $20 first shooter
$10 for each additional on a lane
$15 to rent any/all firearms (one at a time though and must buy shop ammo though)
One free target, free rental eyes/ears if needed

                            These are DAILY not hourly.

When was the last time you shot at an indoor range? Based on responses, $20-$25 seems to be the going rate for LA/OC area.
Too many rifles, not enough time...
