I am the only one in this room that is professional enough that I know of to carry this Glock 40.

This...unless civilization is never returning, persons shot and struck will have to be answered for at some point.

A easily concealed handgun is the first choice for when you are away from home.

Next is a full size 1911 or equivalent in a belt holster when you are on your own property.

Lastly is a 12 ga shotgun. I like my Remington 1187 'Police' model with removable chokes. I keep a modified choke in the barrel which will put 00 buck pellets on a target at 40 yds. Slugs for longer distance.

A rifle caliber long arm isn't appropriate in any suburban neighborhood.

          1. 9mm handgun (I like the Baretta 92)
          2. Remington 870 w/2 barrels
          3. M1A with scope
.GOV should have ammunition in these calibers.

            That's really all you need.
Terribly pragmatic, but as always, you are correct!

About all that is needed would be a scoped .308 rifle for distance work (and a squire to tote everything around for you...)

Speaking of which, who’s going to be the first person to program a Boston Dynamics Spot Dog to be their 3-gun caddy?

in reality anything gun wise you can get your hands on when you are under attack is a good gun for defense. worry about rest when you have time to get your wits about you. should be plenty of .223/556 around, a lot of 9mm and 45 caliber and who doesn't own a 12 gauge or so it seems. if you are separated from your own supply you need to be able to strip the enemy or allies for additional rounds. Learn to adapt and while you might have your dream three learn to adapt to anything to stay alive. The objective is to make the enemy die for their goals not you.

I don't own any of those and don't plan to.

I love America for the rights and freedoms we used to have.

Something not mentioned, but crucial. SHTF activity will likely require defensive measures at night. Our little neighborhood is up in the hills, with a single no-outlet, private road. Three families live at the end, all 3 NRA members and we range practice together. We developed a SHTF neighborhood plan and recognized a critical, missing element - night vision. With our terrain, ideally thermal. We're in process of plugging that defensive gap using QD mounts, so the NV can be swapped among weapons for night watch.

You never know when bug-in will turn into bug-out. And if you're bugging-out, you want the most commonly available arms and ammo for replacement compatibility.

                            AR-15 in 5.56
                            10/22 in .22LR
                            Glock 19 or 17 in 9mm

Shotguns and shotgun ammo are too heavy to bug-out with.

"I would remind you that extremism in the defense of liberty is no vice! And let me remind you also that moderation in the pursuit of justice is no virtue!" - Senator Barry Goldwater

I don't mean to be the spelling nanny, but it is spelled Beratta.
