And this is why my RAW sits in my safe and I never use it. Terrified of this happening. I registered my cheapest and most basic AR as the RAW. Because of the fear that someday the list would be used for confiscation.

I have a whole bunch of really high quality ones. They are brand new, in the box never fired. I'm a hoarder. And by the way I do not own any off roster handguns. I would never pay the premium.

C’mon, you are a hoarder and you only have one RAW? A proud hoarding pimp should have at least 10 AK RAWs in the safe. An Eastern European or Chinese AK will outlive you, even abused.

I registered a bunch of AR lowers just in case one breaks or wears out. But as it goes, I rarely shoot any of my CA RAWs anymore. The newer stuff are just more fun.

But seriously, if I were stuck behind enemy lines and have only one registered AR lower, I’d buy new lowers and configure them as featureless. Scratch that regular grip itch once in a while with your RAW or drive 3-4 hours East.

I do own an SAR1 AK. I was very lucky to get it. It will likely outlast me. It is a fine example of communist perfection.

Wasn’t there something here about unregistering an assault weapon to featureless? At this point everything is now registered regardless of classification, as someone mentioned a cheap lower which will be registered and make it featureless

It might be easier/better to destroy a registered lower here, de-register it and start over with a featureless lower to replace it. That's if you don't want Excremento following you around forever.
