Personal preference: M1 Garand vs M1A

The M1A is easier for a lefty such as myself to work with not that I haven't owned and shot M1s for decades!

Just personal preference because in a fight any weapon is a good weapon. Both are a credit to the line of rifles they were developed from.

Garand. If I want a semiauto .308, I'd rather go with a PTR91, AR308, or even a FAL.

There's just something about the look, the balance, and the feel of the Garand; not to mention a sense of 'history.'
