Anyone know what the sale price for their largest Centurion is?

I went down there today. Basically the safes are marked just like they are on the website, with a big price crossed out and then the price you see as the "internet price" listed as the sale price. BUT, on top of that (and I think this is where the sale comes in) there is a a $100 mail-in rebate on every safe.

I was looking at some 5-foot tall Colonials and Franklins and I am pretty sure the $100 mail-in was the only discount above what is shown on the website. I am not sure the granite Centurions were actually any cheaper... in fact the thin one right next to the entrance door I think is priced $70 lower on the website than with the sale sticker. I could be wrong. There is a big walk-thru truck there but no one was encouraging anyone to go thru it.

That said, these are all gorgeous safes and I think I will be getting one before the weekend is out. Thanks all for the tip-off. $100 is $100.

I stopped by LIberty Safe on Saturday to pick up a few shelves for my Coloniel and was looking at the larger safes,I believe Presidental.(Beautiful)
Told the Wife "Your going to be Happier when I get this Safe" and She Replied "How in the Hell would I be Happier?" I said "because we would be living in a Big Frickin House"

I've tried to buy from Liberty Safes of San Jose (SJLS) for several years by shopping and asking when his sales are. I left my telephone number several times with him but he has never returned any calls. What you will find is that he basically does not have any sales but just the "internet price" which you can get anytime. I found him to be a classic 60's sleaze sales man.

I miss ColdWarRelics (CWR) as they would put together groupbuys of Liberty safes at REAL discounts. Those two guys and their wifes who ran that shop where classy and first rate. I believe the guy at San Jose was complaining to Liberty to lean on the dealer who was selling to CWR. If you notice, there are not any other Liberty dealers in this terrority. This is SJLS' cherry patch for those that like to pay high prices.

My experience leads me to recommend that people avoid SJLS. Even Reed's blows them out of the water with their safe sales (which are real).

Prices aside, I find the help at Reed's to be somewhere between cocky and surly. If you can get one to help you, you can get some real great help, but good luck trying. Meanwhile the folks at SJLS always seem very nice.

I'm willing to pay a little more for the right product, that's always the way I've been. I see the safes at SJLS and I think they are of a superior quality than some of the old-shool safes they have at Reed's. I've put off taking advantage of this sale this weekend because it just looks like a $100 discount and its a rebate by mail. Some of the lower end safes (Colonial, Franklin) I think will be priced the same in a few weeks. We'll see.
