    Now that eBay has.......

Now that eBay has shut down a bunch of AR parts listings where are you looking to get deals?
    Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

The "Piss Off half your customer base" business model seems very popular these days. I would go direct to LGS or your friendly on-line vendor.

Here's a little hint - ebay polices based on current complaints for the most part. In other words, "crisis" management, then when the heat's off, back to "normal".

I once tried to get hundreds of blatant counterfeit memory cards pulled - it lasted 2-3 weeks before all the sellers were back, typically with different account names (the Chinese have MANY accounts, so if one gets shut off or restricted, 10 more can pop up when the smoke clears....).

I'd mention some of the things currently listed that shouldn't be, but I don't have any interest in helping them restrict legal commerce! I went round and round over a PLASTIC GRIP (bought ON ebay) because the technical name of the part is "grip frame".... so they thought it was a "frame", and pulled it. Completely moronic, as the pics showed it was just a cosmetic GRIP...

Fortunately I had already SOLD it, and the buyer didn't give a rip, and frankly I didn't either. They bragged to me about their team of "experts" in firearms, who as near as I can tell know jack squat about guns....

The odds are good that all the "scary parts" will reappear once the dust settles.

PayPal is just as bad. Had a buyer mention reloading dies and PP shut me down.

Sort of. Ebay is constantly adding key words to it's algorithms that it uses to ferret out "AW" parts. So once those words and definitions are added to their database, they will always remove those listings thereafter. They are more serious about it this time around about banning gun stuff.

That said, the counterfeit market is somewhat harder to control, because it requires users to actively report the products. If nobody is doing it, ebay will not spend the time to investigate it themselves. Besides, they actively court Chinese sellers, so its in their best interest.

They've been doing that for 20 years. Their aggression to it comes and goes in spurts... this is nothing new. Usually arises after some media report on CNN, Huffing-it Post, or Hello Giggles, or Gayman Quarterly posts some diatribe about people buying Assault Rifles and Machine Guns on Ebay.

i don't even look on e-by anymore. Overall i save time. money, and stress by avoiding them for everything except the occasional oddball stuff like a leg holster for a mare's leg. a guy in New mexico has them made reasonably and a friend alerted me to them. Other than that I stick with local and then spread out. It is not the dealers fault but it is e-bays.

At the same point, there are other "safe" keywords that keep auctions going.

                          One such word is "airsoft".

Gunbroker.com should be smart enough to start up Gunparts.com.

When someone like Ebay or Amazon drops AR products it opens a rare opportunity go create a new business. Its rather a no brainer.

I see that ebay don't like AR parts, but they're not completely anti-gun. Plenty of Glock parts available. Everything short of the frame of course.
