I think minimalism was invented by people who couldn't afford all the toys they really wanted!

i promised m wife i'd only buy one semi-auto centerfire rifle.
i didn't tell her it would cost over $7k with scope and everything else.
i also needed a new rangefinder since i had extended my effective range...

          Quality over quantity.

Oh, I’m very minimalist, I only collect guns that are polymer, wood or metal.

              1 quality AR
              G19
              Secret stashed .357 revolver
              Optional 10/22
I dreamed of owning a (insert off roster gun here)...

Oh yeah....then the earth splits open with me on one side and the (off roster gun) on the other. Then appeared a large red-glowing pit with gavin newscum, diane frankenstein and governor "brown the drain" at the bottom of it, waving their pitchforks at me.

I like the idea but I’d have a hard time of letting go of some. If I could do it over again I’d of not gotten a 45acp though.

I have tried consolidating calibers and it worked... for a while.

While not completely a minimalist I have consolidated around a few calibers 9mm for pistols, 5.56 for rifle, 300 blk for some hunting and 12g. The problem with paring down the number of guns limits you who you might need to arm if something big goes down.

My wife has her own handguns, but no rifles. My son has a rifle but no handgun. I also have enough to arm other family or friends that might be visiting should I need to.

As it stands I have enough to arm a group of six each with a handgun and a rifle with a couple of scatter guns for the group.
The American Republic will endure until the day Congress discovers that it can bribe the public with the public's money.

No. I view my guns like tools. The more tools in my tool box the better. Each has a different purpose or job to perform. As with anything people collect I do have a few duplicates.

I am heading that direction now. Not only in guns, but in all of my material clutter.

                              Company B53

                              Yes I have!
So here's what I have, 3 for me 3 for my spouse, 3 kids 3 each. 3 each for my 8 siblings and 3 each for their spouses and 3 for each of their kids.
Guess I'll need 3 each for all our grand kids too.

So if my calculations are correct that's 99.
                              Looks like that's my minimal.
After all, you can only practically carry 3 at a time.

Heck, that's a whole dang company!!

Sure, I consider myself to be a minimalist.
Need at least 1 AR, 1 AK, 1 Shotgun, 1 22LR rifle for every type of action (i.e. lever, bolt, semi-auto, pump), at least 1 38/357 rifle, 1 rifle with a scope, 1 rifle with iron sights, at least 1 9mm, 1 45acp, 1 revolver in 22, 1 revolver in 38/357, 1 22LR pistol, 1 22LR revolver, 1 polymer pistol, 1 metal pistol, 1 striker fire pistol, 1 hammer strike pistol, 1 blued finish, 1 stainless steel finish, 1 Glock, 1 Smith & Wesson, 1 CZ....

                                See? I'm a minimalist.
