Wilson combat 1911 - Why $3,100

Checked out some wilson combat 1911's at a local gun store, beautiful sharp looking guns. A professional and a CQB, but man at $3,100 for the professional i wonder just why this much, even if it is a hand built gun. Is that price inflated, the CQB was $2,900. And i think they are both consignment but in mint condition.

If you have experience shooting, especially 1911's, the proof is in the pudding when it comes to Wilson. They are top notch quality, extremely smooth, and extremely accurate. Their customer service is unparalleled, when you pay that price, you get taken care of. You should shoot one, we have one in our rental case, a Protector, and we will have our Tactical Elite back in the case when it gets back from Wilson. We recently sent it in for routine maintenance. I wouldn't be surprised if it had 1,000,000 rounds through it and it still shoots like a dream...

We have the professional in stock listed at $2800, not sure if I remember what the CQB is going for but if anyone is interested, I can check tomorrow morning... We also have the Tactical Elite and Elite Professional.

it's because it makes you into a pro shooter, the $500 taurus 1911 wont give you the same magical super ninja powers as the wilson

The Protector is $2549, and the CQB is $2249. Even with the transfer fee that you will need to pay your FFL, it's still cheaper than what you'll find in any gun shop in CA.

The Wilson's are expensive, but it's ridiculous how much dealers mark them up on top of it.

Don't be so quick to shame the PT1911.

It's a nice gun...I realize it's no Wilson or a Nighthawk, but it shoots straight, is nicely appointed, and doesn't cost 3 grand. Granted, my Springer and Dan Wesson are tighter, but for $570.00, it's a steal.
