    Like, seriously?

Are you that worried they're going to perjure themselves by lying to a judge and getting your guns taken through a red flag TRO? A TRO that you'll have no problem getting quashed because you're not a crazy person who rants about ending liberals, are you?

    .

How much effort, time, and money spent in this “quashing” of a red flag TRO and getting said guns back?

    It’s THAT simple?

Not worth a show-and-tell to children who are not even yours.

Uh I'm pretty sure the way Red Flag laws work is that you DONT get to see the judge before your guns get taken. Someone anonymously goes to the authorities/a judge who issues the order without your knowledge them BOOM, your guns are gone. You have no chance to defend yourself in court, and you have to prove yourself innocent in order to get your guns back (also bear the expense of doing so).

See why it's important to keep your mouth shut?

My sons know not to discuss anything about gun ownership.

OP, How else would they learn how to shoot?
Had a group of kids from Cali in NV shooting machine guns in my backyard.
One of the dads could not thank me enough for giving that experience to their kids.

We used to call it "fight club" in our house. And what's the number one rule about fight club?

The kids were told and retold NOT to talk about it with anyone and especially at school. Once they got to be about 12 they were smart enough to see and understand the potential problems it might cause...for them too. Like getting expelled for turning your pop tart into a gun.

If one of their friends did ever ask to seem them, there is no way I would show them. Because what do you think would happen once they went home and told their parents that, "little Cabo's dad showed us his guns today?" Who needs that potential headache?

Like seriously? I don't know what world you're living in.

How about the parents calling the police and telling them that their kid's friend's nut job dad was reckless and put their precious child in danger by exposing them to dangerous weapons.

That is a VERY likely possibility with all the wacko liberal parents out there. And who the hell needs that headache?

And what do you think the police are going to think? They're going to think, "who in their right mind would show somebody else's kids guns without getting permission from the parents first. Maybe this person is a risk to themselves and their kids and shouldn't have either of them. Maybe WE should red flag this guy and/or send CPS in just to check things out."

You would have to be an absolute idiot to show your guns to another kid without their parent's permission.

Maybe ... read before you spout off next time? I specifically said you show them with the parents permission, not without.

Yes, with caveat. My daughters friend trained on the M40A5 sniper rifle. She's 32.
