Weird update...my neighbor stopped by today...seems he found the package in the back of his pickup truck, opened up and resealed...a month after it disappeared...

Everything is still in it, in the original plastic wrapper.

I believe they succeeded in that aspect. According to the USPS tracking number, the package did end up at my door...
