Hahah trust me that's the biggest reason I never bought a glock. Havent found anything yet that is as accurate and performs like it. No cgw mods yet either, out of the box my favorite gun. Took me forever to find one in my price range since I'm not exempt......

I think it's the trigger bar-to-striker interface which can cause "unwanted ammo use." The fit is inspected with the rear slide cover removed. Something like that.Comment

I watched a YouTube video and I thought if I racked it and slammed the back on rubber mat a few times and it did not fire then the trigger bar was the correct height.
Anyways I will look into a Smith's backing plate. Hoping to take this out to the range today or tomorrow for some testing.

OP this may help: https://www.glocktalk.com/threads/gl...oblem.1336170/
I have an inspection plate, but I am in Riverside. You can get one shipped for probably $10. Ghost sells them

Went to the range tonight and confirmed this issue is only with 9mm conversion barrel.
Ran mags of 3 rounds each and it looked like a robocop gun lol. Range officer came over and noticed it was a glock and said oh yeah that happens all the time with glocks and trigger mods.........
Tested a box of 40 cal without issue. Ran fine with no full auto blasts.
So I took it to the Smith at this range which is different then the original. He thinks it's the trigger bar, said I should try an OEM non polished one. But could also be the recoils spring etc.
At this point im not sure I want to go through with all this replacing parts just to make it run right as a 9mm. I might just trade or sell it and buy a 9mm glock or just put an optic on my shadow 2.

I never understand modification of Glock perfection.Comment

New stock trigger/bar is pretty cheap. I would give that a try and see what happens. Between that and the new connector, it will probably fix the problem.
I bought a used Glock that would fire once when the trigger was pulled and again when it was reset. If you hovered around the reset, it would occasionally go full auto. I replaced the connector and trigger and it works great now.my Benitez goes to 11Comment

Barrel swaps change the fit of the frame and slide in a Glock.
If a barrel tightens that fit (pushes the slide upwards more), there will be less engagement between the striker and the trigger bar tail that holds the striker.
The tail of the trigger bar can be bent upwards to get more engagement with the striker.Randall Rausch

Bought aGkock Store Special..gen 5 17.
Aftermarket trigger, only 2.5 lbs.
Ran fine for 3 range sessions, the random auto burst. Took it to a gunsmith, he went straight to the connector, replaced it.
All is well now.Comment

Just got back from the range. An OEM smooth trigger installed with OEM trigger bar. Works perfectly now, no more full auto!!!
I will most likely be selling the glock though to mill my shadow slide for an optic.
Thanks everyone!
