Bought my first glock, interesting experience.....

Never really liked the way glocks felt but I wanted to try one and give it some good range time I so I bought a gen 3 glock 35 40 cal that was modified. Added some grip mods so it felt better in my hand then bought a 40 to 9mm conversion barrel since I like cheap ammo.

Took it out to the range today for the first time with some 9mm magazines I had from my ar9 to zero the fast fire 3.

It went FULL AUTO on me!!! Only had 2 mags with 5 rounds each. First mag last 3 rounds went full auto and stove piped. I was confused on what just happened. Tried the next mag slowly thinking about what I was doing.

Pulled the trigger and it full auto all 5 rounds stove piped on the 5th.........

Put it away for the rest of the range trip lol.

    UPDATE:
Just got back from the range. An OEM smooth trigger installed with OEM trigger bar. Works perfectly now, no more full auto!!!

I will most likely be selling the glock though to mill my shadow slide for an optic.

    Thanks everyone!

Yes it seems to be modified. Must be one of those one from long Beach?
You have some spring issues. Imho get a stock spring set, and different trigger bar.

Just took it t the Smith. He thinks it's a connector issue. Replaced that and the spring. Connector looked exactly like OEM to my untrained eye. Interesting something that tiny can do that.

Did this occur with only the 9mm barrel, or with both?

Please let us know how the gun performs next time you shoot it.

I had to get a new RSA for my g35 to reliably shoot 9mm with a lone wolf 9mm conversion barrel.

Just a guess, but check the striker/firing pin. A run-away chain fire could be caused when the pin is stuck or jammed in the firing position. Glock advises not to oil the striker because it could cause malfunctions. Maybe the channel is dirty enough that it's slowing down the striker's return to a safe position.

Sorry if this sounds far fetched, and don't know if this is even possible, but....

I actually had them check everything they said it all looked good. Replacing the connector was an educated guess. I will take pics of everything when I get home

So you're the one at the range with a full auto pistol the other day! I heard it happen at an outdoor range, I think they were all shooting pistols then I definitely heard a 3 round burst.
