Glass Factory, Santa Barbara Questions

I went to Glass Factory this Sunday and I am sorry to report that everything bad about that place happened to me and I am NEVER going back on a weekend. There were about 5 cars worth of people there when I got there so I pulled in towards the far right side. The only group between me and the right wall was the stereotypical spanish speaking group that others have lamented about above. It looked like Dadez, Momita, and 3 ninos were there trying out a Mossberg 590 tactical shotgun. Against my better judgement I stay and start shooting anyway while glancing over at them as if it was the rear view mirror of my car. Sure enough the eldest nino, about 20ish, turns around to talk to Dadez casually holding his shotgun infront of him parallel to his body with the barrel aimed directly at me and the entire firing line! I move out of the way while saying loudly "YOU ARE POINTING YOUR SHOTGUN RIGHT AT ME". The moron couldn't understand me and just sat there staring at me with his shotgun aimed at me and everyone else on the firing line. Luckily Dadez figured out what the problem was and a few rolled R's later the shotgun was pointed in a safe direction. Nino then walks up to the firing line and starts shooting. YES IT WAS LOADED AND READY TO GO. Nobody else on the firing line ever realized what was happening.

I am sick of the lack of safety I see there. You would be wise not go on the weekends

Why, so there are more people to hit when one of these idiots fires down the line? Heh. Im sure 10+ people asking nicely with scary rifles in hand can be more convincing that just me. Although I did get them to leave pretty quickly after unleashing a salvo of unwelcoming Desert Eagle fire just a few feet away from them. If nothing else the .50AE cartrige is great for creating distance between you and unwanted shooters.

I don't like going there. You are better off paying the range fee on the weekends at Winchester Canyon Gun Club on West Camino Ciello. It is a bit closer also.

My son went up there, and like you, there were the yahoos. Shooting at a brakedrum 3 feet away with an AK type rifle. Ricochet cracked his windshield and he got one in his wrist.

Over a $1000 Dr. bill to take care of that.

i dont know what day your going to the glass factory, but for sure im going this sunday and try out my ar-15 that i FINALLY completed building. i never really had any really bad experiences
going there other then being way too crowded at times and once me and a few friends seeing and catching a few other people drinking beer shooting, lol.

yep... steve40, a few other friends, and I just went there on Sunday... it was pretty dead, i was surprised, i think everyone is under the impression that its closed.

shooting there on Sunday, was like shooting there on a Wednesday, it got semi-busy for all about 20 minutes then everyone one left
