I always get my pertinent ammo info from walmart employees.

The hardware is already physically in place. That includes an additional PC and monitor and a pretty snazzy looking printer. I saw it with my own four eyes, and touched it with my own two paws. Delay?....they are ready. The results?...who knows.

Inventory still looked strong, with the exception of .22LR....still there, but less options.

I asked what the printer is for. He said the buyer has to sign a document. No thanks, I say.
That one walmart is ready. I just bought ammo at walmart in Palm Springs 2 hours ago and their counter is the same as it was . Of course they were the ones that didnt have all of their shotgun ammo locked up for a month after that law went in to affect.

Carson! My arch nemesis...my ying to my yang...of course, you experience different than I. I swear by my monkey paw that I saw what I saw, and I felt what I felt.

What I don't get is why does it only take a few minutes for the ammo check but 10 days for a firearm. We all know this 10 day thing was supposed to go away.
It takes a lot of balls to play golf the way I do.

Hopefully there will be no idiot walmart employees demanding social security #s to run a check.

My point is DOJ isn't ready. Walmart can't do anything with ammo sales until DOJ gets it together.

I don't think most gun owners know of it, or maybe... don't care since they voted for it, and didn't particiapte in the petition drives to stop it?

In any case, I asked about the sign originally because I was wondering if Ventura County had also passed a ridiculous "no purchase" period ordinance, the way Los Angeles County has it due to (supposedly) preventing people from buying ammo to shoot in the air on July 4th (which, unfortunately, lots of people still do anyway and most gun owners that actually buy ammo don't and never would.)

But no, she said it was to set up the new computers and software needed to run the DOJ background checks, training, new counters, etc. They don't have that now.

However, that got me wondering; if they are set up to do a DOJ CA State Background check anyway, what are the chances that Walmarts in CA may go back to selling long-guns? That would sure be an "unintended consequence" that Gavin didn't think about!

If it pleases the Crown, why do I have to pay $1.00 to verify the C.O.E. that the Crown has issued to me?

This is nothing but another new tax, and taxation is theft.
                        Then said He unto them...
"and he that hath no 1911 designed by my servant John Moses Browning,
let him sell his garment and buy one."
And they said, "Lord, behold, here are two Glocks."
And He said unto them, "Meh, it's a good start."

                        Luke 22:36-38 (somewhat paraphrased)

To make sure it wasn't purchased at MacArthur Park, like SSNs, Green Cards and maybe now even Real IDs.
