There are several, I actually went the last time and got a pair (my first) and they are great. I don't remember their name but they were in one of the buildings....all the way in the back (against the wall) on the left.

Also, you can park on Arlington and walk in or you can do the free swapmeet parking and then once entering make a left towards the gun show and there is an entrance there....

Maybe after July- ammo prices will make it worth going again

If you enjoy guns and gun people, the GS is a good way to spend a day.

Personally we really are not bothered by prices or parking because its a place we enjoy going to.

To put things in persective a Manhattan at an airport is 18 bucks' glass of wine at disney concert center is $8.

Determine for yourself if you are entertained being around, gun people, guns,knives,books,coins,gold and silver sellers and R/E buyers, etc.

Dave based on your post, I would say the gun show is something you should skip.
I really do not enjoy reading all the negativity about GS. Hope that helps you!

Yes there is a lady who does them while you wait. Mine cost 40 some years back !

Sounds like most any other show... boating, skiing, etc. You go there for the experience and a leisurely day out. If you score on a good deal or something you didn't know you even wanted, that's icing on the cake.

Oh, it's totally "while you wait".....about 20-30 mins. I think mine were $60? Can't really remember, but if I can remember when I get home I'll pull them out and post up the company name. They are there every time. Small family run business (Most are) and nice people to boot.

I disagree....I've been buying ammo at the Gunshow ALL this time at 10-25% less than internet prices for almost 10 years.

Are the deals worth the price of admission? I've noticed a decline in the value in other outdoor shows unless you are looking for something specific. The last one I attended, didn't seem so after parking, admission and $15 dollar refreshments (which I refused to buy, can't even taste good at that price). Not knocking it just wondering. For those of you that go let me know

What is available to buy has changed since I first started going in the 70's. But it is still an enjoyable way to get out of the house and wander around and look at stuff.

Occasionally You can come across a deal too.

I always find some widget on table A and then re-sell the same widget to another person at table B five minutes later.

Example of a few recent scores:
Two thousand .262 gas checks for five bucks
1930s or 40s original Winchester sling swivels buck a piece
Four 1960s or 70s new condition Polish Mak single stack magazines at 5 bucks a hit
Cold War leather holsters of all kinds that I double my money on
Cigar box full of .312 hollow point pistol bullets, traded for current issue
German Army soft cover hat that cost 3 bucks.

Apparantly the hat must of been eaiser to pack up than 10 lbs of worthless HP jacketed bullets.

I don't touch any ammunition or anything associated with AW stuff. I stay clear of those types of people at the gunshows as well.

More often than not I make my parking & entry fees back. But making back the $50 in fuel costs doesn't happen very often. Still, it's
cheaper than sitting at the Bar watching MBL soaking up $6 bottles of beer all afternoon.

I also look for interesting old knives & bayonets, or militaria collectables.

one time a vendor had old bayonets and was using a polishing wheel and making them all shiney and like new again, and people were passing by saying "good work" wow those are nice!
