These were my favorite shopping places for used/consignment items when I lived in California:

Southern California Gun (So Cal Gun) in San Diego
Royal Pawn in San Diego
Duncan's Gunworks in San Marcos.

Best in OC is OC Guns and Pawn in Lake Forest. In one visit, I saw they had a LAR Grizzly MK1 in .45 win mag, a .44 Auto Mag (yes like Clint's), a 9mm C96 Mauser, TWO P38's and a host of other interesting things. Not bad for a small, but very friendly and helpful shop.

That's perfect I'm heading that way in . If anyone here has suggestions of notable LGSs along the I-5/ CA-99/US-101 corridor that would be awesome.

WILD BILLS in ELK GROVE has a nice selection of used guns , reminds me of TRADERS , a old school sporting goods hunting & fishing store, plus they have a indoor pistol range across the street called the GUN ROOM , you could bring a handgun and do some shooting after checking out WILD BILLS

As already stated, Crosshairs in Torrance has a bunch of consignment guns, including a luger and a 1919 1911. They also have a ton of 10 dollar GI ammo cans. Quantity discount. I got a half dozen nice C&R guns there.

They used to have good deals pre-internet bidding. Now most things sell for over the fair market value. No more deals to be had, especially with all the buyers fees added on. I avoid that place like the plague.

Sportsmans Arms in Petaluma has a fantastic inventory. Not much consignment, but a lot of everything. Worth popping a few miles off Hwy 101 if passing through.
