Mag storage

I'm not an AR guy, so this may be a dumb question, but I didn't think AR magazines had a "hook" on the baseplate, as would be needed in the image above.

Bag em up with some silica sacks to wick moisture. Plastic or metal ammo cans are great too.

I have sets of Velcro mag pockets on the inside of the safe door.
Also added a slide-shelf that hangs from one shelf.

Ammo boxes (with the covers removed). Sitting side-by-side on the shelves (not in the safes.... in another cabinet with a bunch of other gun related items.) Pull them out by the handle like a little removable drawer. Each can is labeled.

Ammo cans. 50 cal for the pistol mags and fat 50 for the rifle mags.

I use the MTM plastic ammo cans. Keep all the extra mags separated by rifle and handgun and sit it on top of the safe.

I just use a storage bin and then I have mags grouped into various ziplock bags with a description of what they are written on the outside of the ziplock. It's simple and low tech but works well enough.
