Florida/Utah CCW classes

Does anyone know if there will be any Florida/Utah CCW classes offered in southern CA perferably Riverside County??

Utah only. Fingerprinting, photo and notary are included in the class.

We have a Non-Resident CCW in Chino Hills next Saturday 4/25 there is one seat left for this class.

Other classes will be available in May.

I've been reading up on the Florida CCW class and I'm wondering why you only state utah as your class. According to the state of florida, http://licgweb.doacs.state.fl.us/fir...mentation.html

"Completion of any firearms training or safety course or class conducted by a state-certified or National Rifle Association-certified firearms instructor." is the acceptable training requirement, other than that you just need the completed notarized application, fingerprint card, photo, etc, just like the Utah permit.

Am I missing something? Or would any utah course by an NRA instructor be valid?

Tell you the truth, I haven't looked into it. However, it appears so. Utah Certified Instructors are NRA Instructors. According to Utah minimum guidelines, I submit a certificate of completion at the end of my class. This should suffice as adequate training.

Maybe one of the other Utah Instructors would like to chime in here. For most of my students, the benefits of getting the Florida permit are too minimal to justify the fees.

So, ill put it to you this way, if you take my class, Ill print out the Florida Application for you if it makes you happy!

You're nowhere near me, I'm taking a local class saturday though. I've been trying to figure out the same thing for that instructor as well, he didn't really know. Figured some people who take your class might want the florida ccw as well. I like florida It's 117$ for 7 years, that's cheap. Although you ONLY gain florida. It's too bad about colorado and oregon, wish they would come around with the non residents !!!

Utah instructors are not all NRA instructors, some come from a POST background.

Regarding the Florida permit, you only have to provide proof of firearms training.
