What's your preferred front shooting rest?

Check out SEB Rests. They're made by a craftsman in Asia. They have a very unique, and handy, feature where both the fine elevation and windage adjustments are done using a joystick control.

They're a little bit more expensive than a Sinclair rest, but much easier to use.

I really like my Caldwell TackDriver rest

I also really like my Harris S-BRM bipod If you go with a Harris bipod, I also highly recommend getting a pod loc to go with it.

Complete transportable package for boony shooting:
Homemade fold up legs table, cut down wooden barstool with foot pads for soft ground and homemade adjustable height front rest with a small Caldwell top bag.

I like the Caldwell Rock Jr. It has a good amount of heft but without all the fiddly bits.

If your stock has a front sling stud why not use a bipod? Bipods work fine from a bench as well as prone.
Hit the 9 and 10 ring at 1,000 yards with a Harris bipod and this Savage model 10 308 shooting 168g Sierras.

Works fine for modern rifles, not so much for milsurps such as M1 C/D, 03-A3, M96, K31, M47, etc.

Caldwell shooting bags indoors or on a table. I use the Caldwell "Dead Shot" carriers outdoors with a low beach chair and umbrella. Or I'll put the bags on the hood of my Jeep.
