I was planning on going tomorrow, but have to be in Sunnyvale for an afternoon mtg tomorrow. bummer.

Is the 15 minute Safety Orientation only given prior to 5pm or is it available when we arrive?

Both plans include access to shoot at the rifle/pistol range at no additional charge. For members it would be $10.00 and non-members $20.00 so that is also a nice savings. Bring a rifle or pistol and target shoot on the big range for free.

I'll try and find out which course is planned for this Wednesday night.

Please let me know if there is any interest in the range opening earlier in the day on Wednesday (currently open at 5 PM).
To clarify the pricing for nonmembers... what does a “round” consist of? Is one round equal to five targets or is it five sets of five targets? So does the $25 include shooting 15 targets (three sets of five) or 75 targets (three sets of 25)

Planning to show up tomorrow. Also interested in when the safety orientation is held.

For our purposes a round is shooting the string of 5 plates, 5 times. If you are a perfect shot then it would take you 25 shots for the course, 5 x 5. Shoot the string, get your time, reload and repeat.

The course for this Wednesday night will be: PENDULUM

I will ask that they start any safety briefings early so they can get you going right at 5.
I'd agree with you but then we'd both be wrong...

Due to weather issues they are closing the ranges tonight. I'll post if they are going to just skip this Wednesday or reschedule the shoot.

Some weekend steel shooting may yet still happen. If we started shooting steel at 3 PM on a Saturday and ran until 8 or 9 would that be of interest?

Would like to know when is the next event. Never did steel fun shoot before.

Also, wouldn’t mind volunteering to help set it up if the range allows it. Been shooting there for a few years now.

I would recommend starting earlier. USPSA matches at Richmond for example start at 9am and end around 1-2pm.

Btw did the club repurpose the old archery range into the steel shooting area or is this happening elsewhere?
