    WTF is this?
It has to do with OSHA regulations about avoiding lead posioning/contamination.

Hahahaha! This was my first thought when I started reading but seems like you did all you could and more than I would have done. A shame that folks have a hard time figuring this stuff out. Granted, our laws are stupid but not impossible to figgure out that basics with a little effort.

Even though it's his range, his ruled.

                It's your money, your choice.

I have been to 1 range wherebthey wanted to inspect my rifle. I left after asking why. They said I want to make sure it's legal.

I asked the owner for proof of citizenship, cause I wanted to make sure he was legal.
                Then I left.

Some range in OC. Dont remember the name. Was down to shoot with my son.

Meh. I still shoot there. Literally 5 min from my house, and I have private land options for my rifles equally close.

I took my CCW class and qualified there. He seems to be fairly knowledgeable on most laws, yeah he is a little off on certain things. Yeah the range rules are not quite what I would want them to be.... oh well. Its a nice clean range, run by (from what I can tell) a non-communist, pro-gun, human being, prone to error, who has to keep up with California laws, while running his range, teaching new shooters gun etiquette and safety, and educating people who walk in with full on AWs and other illegal guns/methods of transport, etc, etc

He is honestly (imho) doing more good for 2a cause, than most keyboard kommandos on here. And on the issues where he is wrong? If youre going to argue, go prepared with pc, rulings, crpa statements, etc.

He also doesn't allow steel cased ammo... in case you wanted another thing to complain uselessly about

Do new shooters know that? Because that is a lot of the people who shoot there

Sounds like he at least had things printed out. If you are going to argue with every FUDder you come across, you could at least have some pc printed out yourself.

Because despite what you might think, your word doesnt mean crap. If you want to simply leave, and let him know his lack of knowledge will keep you from coming back, go right ahead.

If you actually want to educate people, go prepared

I remember when fixed mag first became a thing, and he used to tell people kits like the Juggernaut hellfighter weren’t legal, and the only thing that was is featureless with a Thordsen stock...luckily he got over that.

Look, i’m glad to have another range nearby. I just wish the owner would spend more time educating himself on the ever changing CA gun laws, and less time hassling is customers over his lack of knowledge/understanding them.
Have you considered that maybe, just maybe, he doesn't want people to get arrested for illegal guns? His lack of knowledge is annoying, but realize he spends a ton of time doing other things as a business owner, has a family, etc.

Not saying he should stay ignorant, but yall need to lighten up

And calling doj, even in OPs post, it sounded like a call to clarify something... the fact that doj wont clarify should piss people off more than owner not knowing

That owner really wanted to be a cop. He thinks he is one.

Wasn't there a similar thread on here recently where some dude was arguing magazine and AW laws? Lol.

One thing I learned from my military time.. the most dangerous person out there is not the one who doesn't know, it's the one who doesn't know but is convinced that they know.
