so looks like it means that technically, we could buy them now, but likely it will be appealed to the 9th and reversed, and then it would need to go to the SC.

I'm not sure it means you can technically purchase a 10-round magazine at this time. But I do think it means several good things:

1. Those who legally own the standard-capacity magazines needn't get rid of them at this time.
2. Becerra and such will likely feel politically obligated to appeal this. So it goes to the 9th Circus. As previously noted, the 9th Circus will likely reverse this decision. This one would be good SCOTUS material - really difficult to see how a 9th Circus reversal would not be overturned by the SCOTUS.
3. After a SCOTUS overturn the ruling would likely be sufficiently broad to eventually mean that in Kalifornia you can legally purchase a standard capacity magazine.

This might eventually sabotage the "Assault Rifle" thing as well. The 30-round magazine is an evil feature, and if the state can no longer limit us to 10-round magazines this would seem to cause a problem for the evil feature provisions and without evil features provisions I'm not sure the current law survives.
