Once in a while we will go to Tracy but they only have 10 lanes if I remember correctly. Before they changed owners we would go almost every weekend during off season on Sunday afternoons after Sac.
Sac is $15 for ex-military and 17 for my wife and shoot as long as we want. Usually 9-11:30 am Sundays. Elite in Tracy I believe is close to the same cost BUT by the Hr.

Haven't tried Linden but might take a ride to check it out.
    Thanks .

If you just shoot occasionally, Los Altos is a better place as it is bigger with more lanes. Sunnyvale can get really crowded and you'll have a long wait times for rifle/pistol range.
I think I checked and Sunnyvale is currently closed to new memberships. Also, judging by their website, it seems to be a lot more involved than "take my money". Seems like it's like becoming a Made Guy in the mob... sponsors, etc. Also I think as a member you need to put in time volunteering and so forth.

Nothing wrong with volunteering but if you have limited time on weekends, might be hard to accomplish all that.

I've only been there twice, the second time being after I was taken by surprise by HWY 35 being washed out and vaguely recalled how to get to Sunnyvale range. I like the place but just too many hoops to jump through as regards a membership given the limited amount of time on my hands....

Lots of info on Linden Gun Range (LGR), Here.

Before I became a member at my local club in Angels Camp, I was looking seriously at LGR. Looks like a nice place.

If one has the inclination to head out to BLM or USFS lands for shooting, contacting a BLM district office, or a USFS Forest Supervisors office is a good idea.
