Marlin 1895SBL 45/70. Within budget and can be tolerable to shoot.

A couple of the fun guns I have are a Marlin Guide Gun in .45-70 and a copy of the Win 1897 trench gun. I have shot the 97 in a couple of 3 gun matches.

A Mossberg 930 JM Pro shotgun. I bought one and let two people try it out. Now they have one also. Extremely fun. Best bang for the buck in a semiautomatic shotgun.

Marlin 45-70 levergun.

An old Marlin bolt action shotgun (the 930 above would be better, but you did say ridiculous).

A 22LR pistol or revolver.

A Ruger 10/22 with the takedown barrel.

A Glock 20 or 40 10mm with a red dot sight on the slide.

I can't think of a practical use for the Browning 1911-22, but I think it's super cool and want one. It also looks like the most reliable .22 auto on the market outside of target pistols.

I love my 2mm pinfires. I don't understand why you think they're ridiculous? I just wish I could justify the $2K-$5K prices for the ones I really like.

Probably being a bit too literal but...I do believe I laughed as a result of its abnormality (size).

To be ridiculous is to be something which is highly incongruous or inferior, sometimes deliberately so to make people laugh or get their attention, and sometimes unintendedly so as to be considered laughable and earn or provoke ridicule and derision.

It comes from the 1540s Latin "ridiculosus" meaning "laughable", from "ridiculus" meaning "that which excites laughter", and from "ridere" meaning "to laugh". "Ridiculous" is an adjective describing "the ridiculous".
