I do recommend the SF though.

My B.I.L. has a 10MM Glock, problem I found when getting him a box of ammo is there was only 2 brands or 2 choices of ammo at Bass Pro Shops. 1 at Walmart and was out of stock. Where, 9, 40 and 45 had multiple brands, multiple grains and plenty in stock.Comment

The XDm 10 is pretty good too. I'd only change the G20 barrel to shoot lead.Hello, well I'm gonna stick to my old Browning, but now I'm going to buy a Glock 20 in 10mm.
I have Glock pistols, but not in 10mm.
If you have a pistol ( like a G20 / 29 ) would it be advisable to purchase a Lone Wolf / KKM aftermarket barrel for durability / accuracy ?
I would like to know more about the cartridge for SD~ maybe even a tejon ranch boar hunt..
Thank you.Comment

And the problem with the boxes of ammo you found most likey where loaded to 40S@W specs .
Finding real 10mm ammo can be a pain I order all mine through Underwood.
Many people my self included Shoot 40S@W out of 10mm Barrels no issues .
A 21 or 22 lb Spring in a Glock 20/29. .I prefer a flat wound spring . will allow you to shoot everything From 40S@w to any Of the Hottest you can find.
My Glock 20 is my Woods/ boat gun and the 29 with 15 rd mags Is my bedside /carry piece . Enjoy the new toy and theres no going back .
One reason other than lead bullets to get a Aftermarket barrel is case Support. Keeping that 10mm case bulge.Last edited by dozer wright; 02-25-2019, 6:51 AM.Comment

You do not need an aftermarket barrel. The stock Glock barrel is good enough. You can shoot hard cast-lead bullets out of a stock glock barrel: I do.

Love my Glock 29sf. Have an aftermarket ported barrel for hardcast bullet use, you know in case I'm ever manly enough to go tromping in the woods in bear territory. Don't even notice the difference in recoil ported or not, so do most of my shooting with standard barrel.Comment

I use the G29 as my primary defense, I do have the KKM barrel and it is awesome. If you are looking for hunting some swine I would say that the G40 long slide would probably be a better choice.I once pondered over the debate of 9mm vs. .40, then I was introduced to .38 super and 10mm and forgot all about it.Comment

I've been shooting 10mm for over a decade now and just recently bought a Glock 29.
I did the research about all the aftermarket barrels, the springs, trigger kits etc etc. The only things I "needed" were the Pearce grip extension and a Clip Draw for CCW.
Hard cast bullets aren't the same as regular lead bullets. They are about as hard as jacketed bullets. IOW: Perfectly fine in your Glock.
Read Buffalo Bore's blog post about hard cast bullets on their website: https://www.buffalobore.com/index.ph...duct_list&c=59
As for the springs and trigger kits, shoot the gun extensively, see how it runs and how the parts interact with you and your shooting style. If it is working 100% then why change anything?Frank Da TankComment
