I used to go regularly but I found better deals on jerky at the farmers market. So really no point for me going now.

        If you try gunbroker.
You have to make sure the model in on the Calif. Roster.
        Seller will ship to Calif.
Pay a additional out of state transfer fee with all other fees.
I'm pretty sure Riflegear and Ammo Bros don't sell 4in S&W 29-2. OP is looking for an out of production revolver.

We use to have gun shows 4 times a year here in San Diego. No more.

hehe, I remembering talking to some guys in Virginia once about "buying a pistol from a guy" and we both were completely baffled.

Gun shows suck in CA. As someone said: beef jerky and junk. You'd be better of watching the calguns classifieds for a Model 29, or going through gunbroker and using one of the Free State intermediary FFLs if the seller won't ship directly to CA.

it's better shop at a regular gun store with a good reputation

prices are marked up at gun shows, and they dont give deals on anything like the old days.

and you have to watch out for people trying to get rid of junk or problem guns that they wont tell you about if it has a problem.
100% agreed on that, and if I may say without sounding frivolous...gun shows here in California are a crap shoot. If you find anything to shoot, it can be crap, overpriced and misrepresented.
