I emailed them directly and I'm assuming whoever the owner is will be reaching out to me directly to see if we can work something out.

The range is fine but I did have some issues with their staff. They didnt think that my CCW could be used as proof of residency and I had to argue thst. They also seemed unwilling to brain storm a solution to my situation.

Again I have respect toward the owner for telling me he would reach out personally.

Their staff could use some training. Lots of FUD witnessed there. However durring the transfer I did see them exercise good judgment and refuse a rental to a man who seemed off and clearly didnt know how to handle fire arms.

So some good and some bad but I'm not ready to write them off all together. What can you really expect from gun store employees anyways?

Hard as it may be, I do respect what you said and will not unload my personal experience with the place.

Evans has been under new ownership for a little while. From what I understand a Fireman and cop couple bought it.

The employee I talked to there, was very eager to let people know that it was under new ownership... some people on this forum have “history” with the old man. I’ve never had any issues with him or his daughter, when she took over.

I would recommend posting in the FFL forum, there are some really experienced guys over there

You expect them to sell you beef jerky and Gatorade?

The seller did his part, got his money, it's no longer his problem or fault. Sure it would be nice if he went the extra mile for the buyer, but he fullfilled all his obligations. The blame falls only on the buyer not holding up his end of the deal. He chose not to take one day to fly back to pick up the gun then return. Situation sucks but it is not the sellers fault. No reason to call out and blackball the seller.

There were clear extenuating circumstances preventing the OP from making the pickup and the seller should realize things happen that are beyond our control. As Calgunners we should all be working together to make our buying and selling experiences as positive as can be given our circumstances. The seller in this case has not been heard from but perhaps he/she has nefarious intentions? The seller still legally owns the gun and he has the OP’s money...? Perhaps the seller should be identified so that the rest of us can avoid that person in the future.

Not many baby Brownings for sale here, so I assume the sellers username starts with “92?” If so, He’s been online as recently as yesterday, but has gone silent on both the buyer and ffl?

It's been awhile since I bought a firearm and I can't remember so I'm just curious about how much time you have to pick up your gun after the 10 day waiting period.

DROS expires in 30 days after you submit it.
10 of those are mandated waiting period.
That leaves you 20 more days to pickup.
