Brownell's new AR-180

Received mine! Only drawback is the dust cover flips down and partially interferes with the top of the magazine release button...which explains why Armalite moved the mag release down in the original AR-18 and simply made a slot/cut in the OEM GI magazines.

Built it up on a Spikes lower, 4-40 set screw on the rear take-down spring and KNS rear M1913 rail. Using the Sig MCX skeleton stock as I like them!

Lucky dog! I'm still on the wait list for the 10.5" upper.

I'm in no rush, though. Waiting for BigRix to come up with the BRN-180 Fusion Lower:





Who knows what the brace options will be then.

That looks good.

I got my AR180 safety and other needed small parts from BigRix when NDS came out with their AR180 receiver meant for the AR180-B, but which I adapted to use an original AR180 Costa Mesa upper.

I would definitely prefer that above over a standard cut AR15 receiver.
