Anyone here hunt with a red dot? Question

Red dot works with all kinds of game. I prefer an Eotech on my hunting rifles where shots are shorter. Also, don't have to worry about eye relief on big bores. It is also very advantageous when there is low light (compared to iron sights).

I hunt pigs with a 6.8, my hunting partner says he is working on getting a dep. permit so I put my beast on the scale, it was at 9.5 lbs.! So I am thinking of putting a red dot on it a aimpoint 2moa. Now it is about 8.5 lbs. The shots we normally have are 25- 150 yards.

If your rifle is heavy at 9.5 lbs.. how are you going to carry all that dead pig?
