Her brother(my uncle) was shot five times in the back. Survived but he came home bleeding and stumbled in the door and passed out and she had to watch that when she was five.

      But when me and my dad started getting into shooting and guns started being in open areas around the house before and after range trips(under supervision of course) she started growing acustomed to the fact that guns dont have a mind of their own and walk around shooting people.

      Its taking time but she is slowly starting to become pro gun.
      Especially after what happened last night.(dont ask there is a thread on it)

      she even held her first rifle today

      even though it was just to read the stamp on it haha.

      My mom was the same way. I have a slightly different story, but same lines as that, she had a cousin who was killed and told to "Never touch the guns" by grandpa and she never did. Now, she doesn't even feel comfortable holding a gun stock up like a rifle because somehow she thinks its going to grow a gun and start murdering puppies.

        Haha... I was refinishing a Milsurp stock, when my neighbor came by to see what I was doing.

        -"What is that?"

        -"The stock from an old Russian rifle...It was made during WWII, neat huh?"

        -"OMG that's a gun?"

        -"no, it's the stock to a gun."

        she sorta squealed and ran away. It's all in the upbringing.

          Thats funny! I had Skeeter from this board bring me by a Fajen legacy stock, that I still owe him 80 bucks for, and my co-workers were just thinking that I finally snapped! It was funny to see the reactions.
