Thought you guys would like this

    Hey Guys,

I have been shopping around for a handgun lately and my fiance has been a little reluctant to say it was ok. Just worried about having a gun in the house. So yesterday i was telling her about the North Korean Rocket launch and things talking about how important protecting our selves was. She said to me, "Get a Gun" ha ha just like that. " Get a Gun" so i am going to get one with my tax return as soon as it comes to me. Just thought you guys would appreciate that. Take care.

Ha ha good one. She didn't mean to protect us from the rocket. Ha ha needless to say. But she enjoys shooting. Just wasn't sure about having a gun in the house.

Just don't hide it in a cookie jar and you'll be fine. In my experience whenever anyone is shy about a gun in their house, like any irrational fear, once it is met with reason and research or in this case training, the fear subsides. Teach her to use it an she may want one of her own.

                  both.

I think its funny when you find anti gun people even THEY wont deny the benifits of having a gun in the house.

When they look at a gun as a device of protection they forget the fact that everytime you hold a gun 5 children die because of it and it keeps aids in the world

My mom was so anti gun(im a minor) most likely because all she knew about guns was they kill people. And she had good reason to think that way. Her brother(my uncle) was shot five times in the back. Survived but he came home bleeding and stumbled in the door and passed out and she had to watch that when she was five.

But when me and my dad started getting into shooting and guns started being in open areas around the house before and after range trips(under supervision of course) she started growing acustomed to the fact that guns dont have a mind of their own and walk around shooting people.

Its taking time but she is slowly starting to become pro gun.
Especially after what happened last night.(dont ask there is a thread on it)

she even held her first rifle today

even though it was just to read the stamp on it haha.

My wife's been begging me to buy a 44mag revolver for about 6 months or so...I'd love to, but I don't have the $$$.

She even said she'd work longer hours to help pay for it.

if you guys are worried about rockets and need guns... get a glock. If it can shoot under water, it can shoot in space.
