The NEW COLT PYTHON 2019 -2020 real or hoax?

I'm quite certain they are coming out with one, the only question is of what quality. Pietta had a python clone they revealed a couple years back called the P1955. They had prototypes they showed off, then they went quiet. Said they had to discontinue the project and they weren't bringing it back. My guess, Colt had a talk with them. They were receiving very positive feedback. Finish looked good, had the original style wood grips, and they were supposed to be priced under $1k.

Is the "classic" S&W .357 (19, 27, 28) so inferior that it does not get the same kind of adoration? By the way, I always thought the S&W cylinder release felt more natural (works by sliding in the opposite direction as Colt's design).

Those are great too. But they do not have the sexy looks that Pythons do. Must be the ribbed barrel or the nice blue finish or something.
That is IMHO, and apparently a lot of other people too. That is why pythons are so expensive these days.

I wish they would bring back the classic shrouds though. I have a 15-2 that has seen many many rounds.
