I find shooting small handguns fun, and a useful skill.

I picked up a CZ 75 Compact with no intent of carrying it. It weighs about 28oz +/-. I like it's heft. It shoots better than I do, but I'm making progress. I installed a set of LOK palm swell grips, they feel better to me than stock.

I shoot my Shield [with the Apex kit] as well as my G19 if not better. I don't like the G26...the smaller grip makes for poor followup shots.

The Shield is very slim and compact....shoots well, plus its cheap.

I suggest you try out a sub compact or even a compact before you purchase. I did have the XD and was never good at aiming, I think it had to do with the back strap safety and the shape of my hand/fingers. I am way more accurate with a full size. Also try to see if you can shoot it first before you buy so you do not end up spending money and hate it afterwards!
