If they are charging they mean it and you better deal with it and damn fast to. Second mistake = posting a grizzly thread on Calguns and watching the responses from the majority who've never seen a bear in the wild.

Have seen lots of bears in CA but never seen a Grizzly here. With birdshot I'll be screwed if a 400lb Grizzly attacks me in my house, but just based on this video and seeing how birdshot to the leg knocked that Grizzly down, I'll be ok with birdshot against bad guys weighing up to at least 300lbs maybe more unless I miss, I won't be firing any scare them off shots or be aiming at leg.
