Remington makes it sound like it's not easy to do, but it is.

On some guns, if the safety was on, then the trigger momentarily pulled, the gun would then fire when the safety was later disengaged.

Forget the safety was on when shooting on a hunt, and pulled the trigger? Guess what? That gun is going to fire when you switch the safety off, want it or not. Good luck making the shot using a safety for a trigger.

Funny you call the plaintiff an idiot, but have no words for the corporation making a rifle that discharges when disengaging the safety, without touching the trigger.

A safety that malfs is worse than no safety.

Who would do that? And refuse to fix them until sued? Remingtion.

And who would fault the consumer instead? Remington fanbois. That's who.

Nah the old Savage triggers would do the same thing, if adjusted to light. The biggest problem with Remington trigger was consumers adjusting their trigger to light and never cleaning them.

He11 yes. Triggers don't wear out like engines do.

I expect Remington to 1) not sell safeties which discharge when disengaged, and 2) if the do (and they did) I expect them to correct that.

Triggers do wear out like all things mechanical, in time.

However you think Remington would perform a recall on a rifle that was made for four or so years, almost 40 years ago.lol

Ruger does. For 60+ year old guns. Guess you know what brand of guns I will buy and which I will avoid in the future.

OP.... Just so you don't feel cheated.....I have three 700's that I could have sent back to Remington. Remington had UPS drop off three boxes that were similar to what the original boxes would have been, However in my opinion "Marginal" at best to be shipping several thousand dollars worth of firearms. So here's the trade off....several thousand dollars worth of Firearms out in the wild, in crappy cardboard boxes, versus maybe $400 out of pocket, if I choose to change the triggers out. I prefer to never let any of my Firearms leave my hands for something I could/can remedy myself.
